#capjamesgThere isn’t an active Homebrew Website Club in Australia right now.
#capjamesgWe do have online events in the BST and EST time zones.
#capjamesgThe Pacific one (on EST) would start at 11:00 Sydney time.
#capjamesgThe London one would start at midnight your time 🙈
#capjamesgYou’re also welcome to hang out in chat here and ask questions about websites, or, indeed, work with someone you know to start your own Homebrew Website Club meetup!
#copheeI’m a design person who got into code (still quite noob at it though) and loved the idea of having a small part of the internet that I can call home ☺️
#copheeI think if there are any other Sydneysiders here, I’d love to work together to start a Homebrew Website Club!

#[aciccarello]I missed that there was an event today! Saturdays are usually tough for me anyway.

#[Ros]↩️ I’m a noob too (and a Kiwi!) - you’ve landed in the *best* place if you want to make your corner on the web. The people here are the best
#ryokagriffinHey all, little intro: I only recently heard about the indie web/slow web but it has put a name to something I've been thinking about and looking for since, what... 2006? Earlier?
#ryokagriffinI have blogged in my little corner of the web for a few years without much to say but, since finding this indie web thing, over the last few weeks I scrapped wordpress in favour of a really simple self built site that gives me full control. It has brought with it a return of the interest and joy I once had poking at and messing with web stuff and I'm hopeful that the momentum will continue and allow me to maybe post some actual content?
#ryokagriffinAnyway, glad to have found this community and hopefully one day I can contribute something.
#[Joe_Crawford]Hi ryokagriffin — sounds like you’re in the right place. If you’ve got a website feel free to share the url — and check out https://indieweb.org which is a trove of great info on how folks use the indieweb. Welcome!
#ryokagriffinYou're right though, the site has loads of great stuff. Trying to absorb it all and see what else is out there
#ryokagriffinHey 🙂 I actually found this chat via the indieweb.org site whilst reading through some meeting notes from a 2022 popup! Because that's how I like to spend my evenings apparently 😄
