[Otto_Rask] it has been a few years since the great twitter exodus and I'm amazed that mastodon/fedi people have not come up with a succinct explainer of what an instance is and what the decentralization means; I think bsky at least at some point supported smoother account migrations (i.e. transfer content, followers, etc.), as opposed to mastodon where that process moves only part of your stuff and the guides on it are messy and so on; proper migration
