Anything I read about Tumblr having WordPress under the hood was about none of the Tumblr UI changing, so I suspect it's more about plumbing. Which sounds more than "soon" but less than "boil the ocean." But then, WordPress is certainly not in an "ordered state" right now as an org so who the heck knows.

the plumbing migration is probably big, but honestly it's the *data* migration that would scare me

Does anyone mirror their IndieWeb profile page? I have done it. I am adding some non-WP pages to my site as I do a refit. https://artlung.com/indieweb/ is the mirror.
#
[Joe_Crawford]
Also in the hopper is a proper projects page. https://artlung.com/projects/ Starting as minimally as possible.

Which would be the a good next feature for my site? (And before you say "it is up to your goals" they all pertain to that.) 1) Webmentions sender 2) Webmentions receiver (mainly to facilitate commenting) 3) IndieAuth Apache module (to replace mod_oauth2 and have wider support for the community to log in)

I would suggest reframing "good next feature" in terms of what user capability (rather than plumbing) you want or find yourself "missing" from your site

I attended the Online Safety Act session for small, low-risk sites that Ofcom ran today.
#

There has been no definition of what constitutes a "significant number of UK users" when it comes to determining scope 😦
#
capjamesg[d]
It _sounded_ like comments on personal websites are exempt.

(I am not a lawyer 🙃 )

I think they are going to share the recording of the meeting at some point.

what is the online safety act
#
Loqi
It looks like we don't have a page for "online safety act" yet. Would you like to create it? (Or just say "online safety act is ____", a sentence describing the term)
#
[Murray]
Hmm, worth starting one?

capjamesg[d]: I gave up in the first 10 minutes
#
capjamesg[d]
petermolnar I had hoped it would be more actionable.

there are some resources that can be useful at https://russ.garrett.co.uk/2024/12/17/online-safety-act-guide/ which is already more, than the ofcom thingie.
#
petermolnar
long story short, if it's not user to user service (a website without comments is not user to user), it doesn't fall into the legislation at all
#
petermolnar
eh, I'm wrong
