gRegor And thanks for not scolding me, Loqi :D
#
capjamesg Yes indeed!
#
glitzeor4444 I am horrified. I turned on TalkBack (the accessibility function on Samsung that reads out what's on your screen) to check if my solo ttrpg Actual Play logs will make sense via screen reader.
#
IWDiscord <glitzeor4444>
#
glitzeor4444 NOPE. The things I thought would work absolutely did not. I think I need to explicitly add ARIA labels while in Obsidian as a starting point. (On the bright side, emojis do get read out, so that does offer some cueing)
#
IWDiscord <glitzeor4444>
#
glitzeor4444 I'm glad I'm working on this right now while I only have two actual play logs to reformat instead of 500, at least 😅
#
glitzeor4444 What is accessibility
#
Loqi Accessibility is key to designing web sites in an inclusive manner, lowering barriers to information, interaction, and communication, to make the web accessible to people with disabilities, and sometimes a literal site path (/accessibility) for a website accessibility statement; the IndieWeb community encourages both accessible events & personal sites https://indieweb.org/accessibility
#
glitzeor4444 - ARIA labels for container that contains transclusions
#
glitzeor4444 - Visual+Textual indicators (e.g. [🎮GAME] for mechanics)
#
glitzeor4444 Anyway, based on this experience of struggling with Talkback, I'm going to work on being better at:
#
glitzeor4444 - More subheadings for easier navigation
#
glitzeor4444 - ARIA labels for callouts
#
[artlung] yay accessibility!
#
Loqi yay!
