[Al_Abut] I have some ideas too, ones that aren’t being brought up here: everyday people are trained pretty hard on how to surf the algorithms. So it’s not liking just for the soft reasons listed above - the dopamine hit, the parasocial relationships - it’s for the very practical benefit of seeing more things like what they just saw.
