itskalvaxus Trying to contain teens is a sisyphus task. I read about a school disabling many platforms, only for them to start using collaborative tools (like google spreadsheets) to message each other in the margins..

[tantek] Google Docs for chat is far calmer and more chill than any social media, so I would say that is a win

aaronpk There's also a huge difference between a google doc shared around between friends vs the entire population of the internet on social media

[tantek] even if it was "only" shared around with everyone at the same school (though I can imagine what shenanigans I would have gotten into if I had had access to something like that)
