[Sophia_wood] setting up the next journal 🙂
#
[Sophia_wood] both - haiku +paper
#
[Sophia_wood] i want to do distance again as a page with thoughts
#
[Sophia_wood] https://www.streamof.me/distance/
#
[Sophia_wood] my new year is solstice
#
[Sophia_wood] For paper - the best self is my neurospicy one and when I'm not struggling with my divergence, I go with a hand-planned bullet journal.
#
[Sophia_wood] for my website - haiku, distance, tallies (still thinking of the tallies). I did birds this last year - I don't know if I am doing that again yet.
#
[Sophia_wood] If I can - I might run a script before I commit on birds or something, but maybe not daily - weekly maybe?
#
[Sophia_wood] Things I don't implement in the new digital journal ontime will be on paper until they are. I am working out how to write on my phone when on travel for a repository - any suggestions are welcome. I am 90% sure either a hugo or 11ty site is where I am headed (I have 80% of my hugo ready)
#
[Sophia_wood] Maybe something like this:

#
[Sophia_wood] @cupparex - Happy Birthday!!
#
[Sophia_wood] The key for me - only use the pages that work for you - be ok with using it some weeks and not others.
#
[Sophia_wood] Don't worry about streaking - I enjoy the tallies thing - just noting the positives.
#
[Sophia_wood] I stick with one journal type on any given week - but have two types depending on what I have ahead of me.
#
[Sophia_wood] everyone has their thing - I'd love to get better with Obsidian
#
[Sophia_wood] sounds like we should have a journaling event one day 🙂
#
[Sophia_wood] Here is the experimental journal for this year (https://www.fractalkitty.com/streamof-me/) ending on solstice.
#
cupparex I just started with Obsidian recently, but I'm enjoying it. I'm currently trying to decide to continue daily logging on obsidian or index cards, but I absolutely love Obsidian for personal note storage and I have a separate vault I just created to start keeping a copy of my writing and organize some writing collections

paperbritt Journaling! I've tried the traditional bullet journal, the get things done tasks approach and all sorts. Right now I'm working on a hybrid system where I do fortnightly spreads in my notebook for appointments, thoughts and general freeform notes. I then use obsidian to track tasks on a weekly note divided by day. I find a weekly summary much more likely to happen than daily and it allows me to see a decent way ahead of me. I like
#
paperbritt It's messy but it gives me enough flexibility to work. Some weeks are busier than others and at that point I might make a notebook spread cover more or less time.
#
paperbritt Whoops, that was long. We should definitely have a journalling event, yes.

#
[Sophia_wood] the only thing I wish I could change on my bullet journal is to remove the corners. I really want a high end journal - battlestar style.

[artlung] [Sophia_wood] come by, borrow this you could borrow this from me to trim corners. https://www.amazon.com/Rounder-Cardstock-Corners-Scrapbook-Supplies/dp/B0DYV4FRFS/
#
[Sophia_wood] oh my!! [artlung] ++ it is done.
#
[Sophia_wood] I was about ready to get out my book binding supplies, and now I realize I was missing one important piece.
#
paperbritt Meanwhile I'm investing in this https://www.legiliner.com/products/legiliner-bullet-blue-dotted-grid so that any notebook could have a dot grid area.
#
paperbritt Definitely going to bind my own eventually but I have a lot of unused notebooks.
