gRegor I just added this and tried it out on my phone: https://indieweb.org/Open_Library#Scan_Barcodes It's no frills and a bit rough, but if the barcode is in the OL collection, it should work. Point and scan and the results stack up in a small section bottom of the screen which you can scroll left to right, so you can scan multiple books in a row. Tap on one and it takes you to the OL page for the book.

[Sophia_wood] making a summary page for this years journal 🙂 last day!
#
[Sophia_wood] so far:
#
[Sophia_wood] I gotta say - doing your own thing is the way to go for me. [tantek] ++ for noting that strava, and so many apps don't let us do this.
#
[Sophia_wood] GWG - days that I took time to stretch.
#
[Sophia_wood] Yoga, pilates, or just stretching.

#
[Sophia_wood] GWG - now you have me thinking about abstract stretchy days! @GWG++
#
[Sophia_wood] or stretching beyond a comfort zone and learning
#
[Sophia_wood] ok - I could have made this prettier and interactive and ..., but I need to be done and feel like I got the overview I wanted, which was kinda the point of the summary. The 2025 solstice-to-solstice https://www.streamof.me/ is complete. (there is some css that might get tweaked someday to fix legibility)
#
[Al_Abut] Whoa
#
[Al_Abut] [Sophia_wood]++ for the productive monomania
#
[Al_Abut] That was amazing. I landed on “A mashed potato” in the interactive chart and have no idea what it means, which made me super happy.
#
[Sophia_wood] having everything in a numbers file is pretty nice for this.
#
[Al_Abut] Having everything surrounding me with small scraps of paper does not help with this
#
[Sophia_wood] any day I didn't move a lot - I felt like a potato
#
[Al_Abut] (Cleaning up my desk is my holiday chore)
#
[Sophia_wood] There is a hilbert potato somewhere in there
#
[Al_Abut] Looking for the potato entries makes me feel like I found the indieweb version of mining for coin
#
[Sophia_wood] please forgive me. I understand if my Karma drops for this.
#
[Sophia_wood] There is a website for that - but I hate to do this to you, but I have to since we've said potato like so many times...https://annoying.one
#
[Al_Abut] OMG, that was beautiful.
#
[Al_Abut] Thankfully wifey poo already preemptively closed the bedroom door when I kicked off this fun late night jam session 😂

chrisaldrich For those playing on the /card_catalog and /personal_library tips, I've just noticed that Amazon has a Beta version of a "My Library" view at https://www.amazon.com/your-books
#
[Al_Abut] oh thank heavens, finally a way to view all of my full books without the clutter of all the samples I’ve tried.
#
[Al_Abut] [chrisaldrich]++ looking for a “no samples” view has been vexxing me for years!

[metbril] [edit] I've sent an RSVP to https://events.indieweb.org/2022/02/personal-libraries-pop-up-session-Wax8N17zQuY0 through micropublish.net. My page doesn't have the `p-rsvp` markup class, but it's still recognized as a "Maybe". I'm curious how/why. Is this handled by the webmention receiver? Must be, since I can't figure out how else.

jacky [edit] [aciccarello]: if you want a micropub server to use and are open to using AWS, there's https://github.com/barryf/vibrancy/

Loqi It looks like we don't have a page for "collaborative blogging" yet. Would you like to create it? (Or just say "collaborative blogging is ____", a sentence describing the term)
#
capjamesg Collaborative blogging << [https://visitmy.website/2022/10/04/patterns-for-collaborative-blogging/ Patterns for collaborative blogging]
#
Loqi ok, I added "[https://visitmy.website/2022/10/04/patterns-for-collaborative-blogging/ Patterns for collaborative blogging]" to a brand new "See Also" section of /Collaborative_blogging https://indieweb.org/wiki/index.php?diff=106964&oldid=106963

#
[Al_Abut] Oh that’s really cool, [capjamesg]
#
[Al_Abut] I like the idea of collaborative blogging, make it more like writing in an academic journal
#
[Al_Abut] I haven’t seen a lot of it in the wild, just PG’s essays with credits at the bottom for reviewers of early drafts
#
[Al_Abut] agreed
#
[Al_Abut] don’t really see a lot of either
#
Loqi ↬ giving credit is a collection of cultural practices related to acknowledging and attributing text, hyperlinks, quotes, utterances to others, typically by name, as a way of recognizing their contribution(s) https://indieweb.org/giving-credit
#
[Al_Abut] That’s pretty close, feels more like a citation than acknowledging co-participation in creating the document in the first place though, know what I mean?
#
[Al_Abut] I’ve done it a handful of times where I’ve shared a google doc and collected comments on a draft
#
[Al_Abut] it’s somewhere on the spectrum between a citation and actually writing together
#
[Al_Abut] lots of fun colors of the collaboration rainbow

[social] I added the Microformat Visiual Explainer link to my Lab page, to make it a little easier to find. https://lab.vanderwal.net

[social] I also added next steps needed to the lab note page.

[Al_Abut] “blah blah lorem” 😆

[social] I removed the “blah blah Ipsum” and the “Secondary Header for Template” in the h3. I repurposed the H3 for the wanna collaborate section header.
