[tantek] a domain-name first contacts app would be kinda like a feed reader, except instead of subscribing to feeds, it would subscribe to the person's h-card on their domain name, so when it changed, the contacts app would automatically get (and display) that updated data. I think we discussed this in a long ago IWC session

btrem I have a user interface question concerning pages where there's a "copy" button to copy part of the page, like a code snippet. When you activate the button (e.g., click on it), does it typically highlight the text it just copied to your clipboard?

[Al_Abut] [tantek] oh that's a really interesting brainstorm about using a website as a gateway for communication preferences. My immediate reaction was “what if you had a helper app bridge the two worlds - the contact app you use already and website for more info?”

[Al_Abut] I vaguely remember us talking about how nobody uses the notes tab on a semi-recent zoom, so it's ripe for repurposing with technical info in an automated background app.
