[tantek]will be interesting to see how you evolve your personal site and digital garden! lots of folks here also experimenting with different approaches, figuring out things as we go
[tantek], [jeremycherfas], [Murray], [schmarty], [KevinMarks], [lazcorp], kera, kera6, DanQ, schmudde, GuestZero, rickbol_, cotsuka and saccharin joined the channel
[Murray]@NegateThis: after years of struggling with that very question, the digital garden stuff I mentioned earlier will ultimately turn all tags into pages of their own, specifically so I can stop worrying about that š (it's a little driven by patterns I picked up from Obsidian, and I really like it overall)
Loqifriendly reminder bubbybumble [aciccarello], we try to keep jargon (SSGs, templates) out of this channel to make it more inviting to newcomers, can you move this to #indieweb-dev?
Loqijargon is a specific unobvious word, concept, or technology (like Webmention), re-use of a word to mean something other than its common meaning (like feed), or sometimes re-using a word as an acronym (like POSSE), or any abbreviation that requires developer knowledge or skills https://indieweb.org/jargon
[Murray]@NegateThis: yep, exactly. The long term goal is to turn all tags into the digital garden "seed" analogy. Once there are a few notes, articles, etc. linked to a tag, it becomes a "sprout", and then I can go in and add a proper definition, start gardening it properly, to turn it into a "sapling" etc. Always liked the metaphor š
[Murray]but the other nice thing with that metaphor is that plants end up growing together, so if a post has multiple tags, it begins to built up a "related pages" style network, and then that can slowly help reveal bigger patterns and things worth turning into proper articles
