[tantek]perhaps more #indieweb-dev however it might be good to document such map examples and which providers people are using to show mapping information on their personal sites

[aciccarello]burgeonlab, I still need to figure out if I want to go all-in on octothorpes. It seems like a fun discovery option and the vision is quite expansive. I've played around with custom element mapping to read from microformats without needing special markup.
[aciccarello]But it doesn't sound like the maintainer is open to a webmention based trigger so I would need another option to publish. I don't like the options that rely on views triggering parsing.
[Mike]I had some problems with getting Octothorpes to work on WordPress, I got most of the way there but couldn't bring it home, there were weird server errors, and the maintainer was totally disinterested in helping figure it out so I eventually gave up trying.
burgeonlab[Mike] I think there was some mention of a plugin for WP users? Anyhow, I'm not too keen on any of the additional components or JS injections. The basic HTML line that allows the server to fetch the tag/page details and the 'harmonizer'' seems relatively straight forward. I might give it a shot when I get some time because as [aciccarello] said, it does look like a fun discovery tool.
LoqiA definition is a post or section of a page quoting a new or interesting dictionary definition, often included in a glossary or digests such as weeknotes https://indieweb.org/definition
Loqitag aggregation is a feature of some search, indexing, and bookmarking sites that collect tagged posts from many different sites, including IndieWeb sites, and present them for exploration by topic, and sometimes related or highly correlated topics https://indieweb.org/tag_aggregation
[aciccarello]Well, I got an custom harmonizer working with Octothorpes but now I need to figure out why I won't use it without me being very explicit 🤔
[aciccarello]Well, I really need to go to bed. More things to work on in the future. At least I cleared out a bunch of open wiki tabs and added some fodder for the newsletter

jeremy@capjamesg Sorry. Have to cancel. Managed to lose my phone in a taxi this morning and although I can see it no-one is handing it in or calling me.
[aciccarello]Trying to avoid getting too technical but essentially I'm trying to figure out how to let octothorpes recognize the information on my page without me needing to change a bunch on my site
[aciccarello]I'd love to have one file that tells http://octothorp.es how to understand my site, maybe a couple header tags, and then my posts automatically show up in octothorpe tags
morganwebdevI wont name them but I did a zine exchange with a fellow Indieweb'er and it was incredible fun culture exchange. For context, the wiki has information about zines and events we have held (or been hosted at) related to zines. Hope your day has a zine in it!
morganwebdev1I will definitely add any Zine related stuff to the wiki that come to mind. Our starter/stub-like pages arent bad for an intentionally obscurantist topic at times :D
morganwebdev1One of the things I distinctly remember from IndieWeb Zinefest was how people shared stories of how zines are some of the most long lived items in their possession sometimes
gRegorI read a post from the stream channel a week or two ago about someone who is purposefully printing out their website annually and has it in a binder for longevity
