@rnkn is you have something you want to post do it. Don’t let guilt be the driver to post (or not to) post. Often a short post can break the slump.
#
[capjamesg]
[social] I appreciated reading your blog post about categories yesterday.
#
[social]
Thank you. I like writing mid-status posts. The categories and the regular pagination are two large changes and I don’t see many regular blogs handling them the way I’m approaching them, so figure I’d share. It may spark ideas for others or find gaps in what I’m thinking.

[capjamesg]: I'm going try to migrate my WordPress site to a static Quartz site this weekend. A bit worried because it's the first time changing a live site and DNS...
#
[capjamesg]
Good luck!

in other news, I think I *may* have to switch to irccloud (after praising the web chat earlier in week it's become terribly unreliable)

just remembered this (by Natalie Downe) from 15+ years ago… https://web.archive.org/web/20120107005423/http://natbat.net/code/clientside/css/pocketbook/css.html - the HTML/CSS for the "book" template itself are all there. Can't remember if anyone made any others at the time.

Its not quite a silo quit but Ive made a daily habit of _not_ reading my one sort of silo right now, bluesky, and again I find mental health benefits from not being blasted with insane stuff to start my day
#
[tantek]
Yes it may not strictly be a silo, however by copying Twitter UX they have replicated many of its harms, long before Elno or even 2016
#
[tantek]
What is the argument machine
#
Loqi
The Argument Machine is a post by Derek Powazek describing how Twitter’s UI appears designed to cause and amplify arguments, and lessons from that analysis can be used for better design of commenting/replying/threading systems, including on the IndieWeb https://indieweb.org/Argument_Machine
