Well crap, apparently homebrew no longer ships the PHP .so file so I just broke my entire local server set-up
#
Zegnat
Interesting cweiske, I do not remember seeing that. But to be fair, I might have seen a pop-up from Little Snitch the first time and just blocked them from contacting Google.
#
Zegnat
They aren’t the only ones to outsource analytics to Google though :( I use Franz to pull IM channels into 1 application, and they to send actions through Google Analytics.
#
cweiske
no error when the password is wrong in your edit form?
#
Zegnat
I saw no need for errors, hahaha

Loqi
Zegnat: lol

cweiske, the password can’t be wrong. Every string is a valid password. But you either are allowed to do a thing after inputting that string, or you are not ;)

I don't want you to open that can of semantic interpretion

#
KartikPrabhu
it did make it into the final version generated by Loqi
#
tantek
it did?
#
tantek
I didn't see it. no recent posts about indieweb in the newsletter at all
#
tantek
I looked
#
KartikPrabhu
recent edits
#
tantek
no of course the edit made it
#
tantek
there's usually also a "recent posts about the indieweb" *section* in the newsletter
#
tantek
which I think comes from bookmarks or something?
#
tantek
submissions to indienews?
#
tantek
I honestly cannot remember how to trigger it
#
KartikPrabhu
<shrug> me neither, But your edit does show up in recently edited wiki pages
#
tantek
KartikPrabhu: the edits serve more as a coarse overview of wiki activity, rather than any actual highlighting of posts or anything else
#
tantek
wonders how to get Loqi to respond sensibly to "How do I" questions
#
tantek
since we have so many "How to" sections / answers on the wiki

wonders if that would be useful at all

#

server logs?
#
tantek
what is monitoring?
#
Loqi
monitoring is automated collection of a site or app's vital stats, e.g https://indieweb.org/monitoring
#
tantek
is kylewm.com down?
#
aaronpk
probably. that's always what it is when my disk fills up rapidly
#
tantek
was wondering if Loqi did that
#
tantek
oh 502 Bad Gateway.
#
aaronpk
well yeah the server is responding
#
tantek
what is down?
#
Loqi
It looks like we don't have a page for "down" yet. Would you like to create it?
#
tantek
down is the opposite of up and in the context of the indieweb refers to whether a server (typically indieweb or a service) is not responding as it should, which could mean its DNS is not resolving, or the server is not responding, or it is responding in some other offline manner such as a 502 Bad Gateway error.
