I have two links in my <head>, rel="authorization_endpoint" and rel="token_endpoint"... is this a standard thing?
#
[keithjgrant]
I noticed voxpelli.com doesn't have them
#
[keithjgrant]
neither does tantek.com
#
[keithjgrant]
I've coded Omnibear to scrape these off your site, but now I'm realizing those may not be the standard approach
#
GWG
[keithjgrant]: Those advertise the Indieauth/Micropub endpoints.
#
GWG
I don't think tantek has Micropub
#
[keithjgrant]
I guess my question is, if those are missing, should I just assume indieauth.com, or should I require my user to add them to their page?
#
[keithjgrant]
(I'm building a Chrome extension that's a Micropub client)
#
GWG
[keithjgrant]: I think the assumption is that if they aren't there, it is Indieauth.com. But it is probably better for a site, for security purposes, to not assume
[acegiak_net] joined the channel
#
sknebel
a micropub client should not assume those
#
GWG
sknebel: Exactly
#
[keithjgrant]
great. less code to change ?
#
dansup
anyone know of any good php ostatus implementations?
#
aaronpk
Correct you should not assume or default to indieauth.com for that

If anyone is interesting in beta testing Omnibear, I’ve got it posting Notes, and posting replies, likes, & reposts of the currently opened page. need to do a developer install of the extension for now though

voxpelli
!tell keithjgrant I don't have an authorization endpoint at voxpelli.com since my identity setup there isn't supported by IndieAuth.com – instead I have a separate discovery page + sometimes manually enter my identity URL (rarely supported)
#
Loqi
Ok, I'll tell them that when I see them next

What is uberspace?
#
Loqi
It looks like we don't have a page for "uberspace" yet. Would you like to create it?
#
sknebel
Zegnat: want to? Otherwise I'll read up and write it later myself

aaronpk: we just talked about it at IWC, but reading the wiki has left me even more confused on terminology than before: if I implement an /authentication-endpoint, what is the "protocol" that is used to log in to another site using it called?
#
sknebel
*HWC of course
#
sknebel
between rel-me-auth, Web Sign-in, indieauth and indieauth.com I'm not sure which is which :/
#
sknebel
(well, the latter is a service. implementing all the others(?))
#
Zegnat
sknebel, afraid we had stopped our HWC when you asked about Uberspace and I was either eating or travelling home

Zegnat: no problem at all, so I had something to do on the train home ;)
#
Zegnat
My train WiFi has been rubbish lately :( I can only do offline work.
#
sknebel
tethered my phone
#
sknebel
we only just got wifi in ICEs (high-speed trains), I'd give it a decade or two for it to appear in regional ones
#
sknebel
(well, free wifi in ICEs, you could buy it before)
#
Zegnat
The ICE one has been pretty good to me though

sknebel: IndieAuth is the current name of the protocol, but I'm considering renaming it for this reason
#
aaronpk
I want to make it clear that relmeauth is not part of it, and I want to separate the service I run on indieauth.com from it as wel
#
Zegnat
aaronpk, I reviews the Micropub conformance update: https://github.com/w3c/Micropub/issues/65#issuecomment-281835706
