gRegorLove Context was I pointed them to a Drupal 7 webmention plugin. They're saying the devs of that have moved onto a module called Linkback.

[eddie] haha, not only no avatar, but webmention.io didn’t have ANY data in the “author” attribute so my test mention section said “mentioned this post in Favorite Things”. Which helped show me a bug where if there is no author info, I need to put the link instead of the Author’s name ?
