GWG I need some perspective here. When you have a dependency with a different license than your own repository, how do you handle that? Do you include their license file as well? Do you declare it in a readme or other file? I want to make sure I'm honoring the wishes of my libraries?

schmarty GWG: my understanding is that if the source of the dependency is included, that usually means including their LICENSE file and README info in whatever subdirectory it is in. if that is not possible for whatever reason, then including the copyright and license info for that package in your README often works.

Zegnat GWG, yes, if you are shipping their code together with yours I would also put their LICENSE file somewhere close to the one of your own project to make it very clear multiple licenses are used in the repo as a whole.
