#
tantek

#
Loqi
CSR is a Certificate Signing Request, which is used to request an https certificate from a certificate authority https://indieweb.org/CSR
#
tantek
aaronpk ^^^ maybe a short "How to" section to capture that since it's not obv?

Well it took some fiddling with turning off CSS in dev tools, but I got aim.com to a point where I could use JS querySelectorAll to extract buddy list names.

GWG
I need some perspective here. When you have a dependency with a different license than your own repository, how do you handle that? Do you include their license file as well? Do you declare it in a readme or other file? I want to make sure I'm honoring the wishes of my libraries?
#
schmarty
GWG: that depends. are you including the source of the dependency in the package that you distribute?
#
GWG
schmarty, sometimes
#
schmarty
GWG: my understanding is that if the source of the dependency is included, that usually means including their LICENSE file and README info in whatever subdirectory it is in. if that is not possible for whatever reason, then including the copyright and license info for that package in your README often works.

GWG, yes, if you are shipping their code together with yours I would also put their LICENSE file somewhere close to the one of your own project to make it very clear multiple licenses are used in the repo as a whole.

If you leave it up to the end-user to grab the dependencies (e.g. through composer), I usually do not include any of those third party licenses.

wonders if Loqi has tried to +v people but can’t because it isn’t +o.

@jimpick
@ChrisAldrich @BeakerBrowser That's definitely on my todo list for my pipette project ... it's just the hugo static website generator, so I can start hooking up all the Indieweb stuff into it. It's trivial to do rel="me", and i've got some ideas around identity. Webmentions and micropub would be awesome.
