jeremycherfas It's a bit of a pain that IFTTT does not seem able to create HTML in a file saved to DropBox. I wonder whether it can do so in an email.

jeremycherfas You can indeed send an email that contains HTML from IFTTT -- but it takes a lot longer to arrive than it does to create a file in DropBox. Not that time is of the essence, but still.

jeremycherfas Playing around trying to build a page with my highlights from Instapaper more automatically. So I want to add tags and classes to the raw data that IFTTT can fetch from Instapaper.

jeremycherfas The IFTTT recipe I have works just fine. All it means is that I then need to do some search and replace on the resulting file.

jeremycherfas The other minor annoyance is that the URL that IFTTT provides is a short form created by IFTTT so if I want to store the information locally I need to find a way to retrieve that.

gRegorLove Today's PHP oddity, if you use filter_var with FILTER_SANITIZE_STRING it will truncate at "<" even if it's not a tag, like "a < b". strip_tags() understands the context though and leaves it.
