Honestly, I am considering snagging some of the templates from Monocle.
#
aaronpk
those are based heavily off of my own website, which went through a few iterations to get there, so I consider them pretty solid at this point
#
aaronpk
those also render off of the microsub json format (jf2) and so would be easily adapted to the full mf2 json
#
[cleverdevil]
I am starting to find friction with having things split up into so many microservices.
#
[cleverdevil]
Tempted to just ram them all together into a single thing 😛
#
[cleverdevil]
I think I should definitely leave the auth stuff separate.
#
[cleverdevil]
But, combining the media endpoint, micropub server, and "view" components may make my life easier.

What is hsts?
#
Loqi
HSTS is an acronym for HTTP Strict Transport Security, an HTTP header that indicates to browsers how long the website should only be accessible over HTTPS for https://indieweb.org/HSTS
#
Loqi
ok, I added "https://webkit.org/blog/8146/protecting-against-hsts-abuse/" to the "See Also" section of /HSTS

@grib
My mission today is to stop tweets showing up as links. @manton if I let http://micro.blog syndicate then Bridgy handles webmentions for replies, right? (https://grib.co/?p=11936)

no slack users anymore here? or don't they have '[' anymore in their name?
#
sknebel
nobody has said anything recently, so probably just timed out?
#
cweiske
so they are only visible when they said something?
#
sknebel
I think thats how it works, yes. when they do something the bridge joins a user for them, and leaves after a while of inactivity

#
[kevinmarks]
that's right, I can see you in slack
#
aaronpk
I'm considering rewriting it to use the slack streaming api in which case it would keep an irc user active for as long as slack shows a green dot for the user, which would also mean slack users' first messages wouldn't be delayed in irc

I can't ping [gerwitz] because I can't see him now in irc
#
petermolnar
or just drop slack, as a result of their lovely behaviour :)
#
jeremycherfas
The danger of dropping Slack is that it reinforces the message some people are receiving that IndieWeb deliberately erects barriers to wider use and adoption.

[eddie]
Yes, even for some programmers, irc is too much (like me). If you lose programmers because of slack you would DEFINITELY lose gen 2, 3 and 4
