woohoo! I've finally finished my real-time streaming notifications work to the point of being able to merge the current result to `master`... this means I can move on to other things (next up is finishing implementing IndieAuth on my site) 🎉

[chrisaldrich] I saw your posts on the Inoreader Discord. It would be cool to see some Indieweb features in the app. I hope they move forward.

What is Simple Location?
#
Loqi
Simple Location is an Indieweb-friendly WordPress plugin that enhances posts with location information https://indieweb.org/Simple_Location

bear, I think there was a recent discussion / question about Python micropub support because a new person (forgot their name) seemed to find that not many people here were working on it? To which KarthikPrabhu responded and did point out your project
#
bear
yes, I saw the alert and scrolled back - left a loqi message to them

I wouldn't worry. I'm basically interested in indieweb things in a number of languages. It helps me to get a broader understanding of approaching
#
[LewisCowles]
right now I'm using a lot of things hosted by others, like webmention.io, indielogin.com
#
bear
ok, let me know if you have any questions or ideas
#
[LewisCowles]
I'm currently using my windows laptop, so I'll have ideas once my vagrant installs a base-box for me to play in

services are ok! indieweb doesn't mean you have to self host everything (or even anything)
#
[snarfed]
we actually usually want to help people self host _less_, not more, so we can grow beyond developers
#
[tantek]
we also want to help people with *options* for hosting / services so that they can dial up (or down) the level of redundancy / robustness they want for their solutions
#
[LewisCowles]
Whilst I appreciate that. It's not about self-hosting so much as understanding from bottom-to-top what requirements there are

It's been an obsession for me ever since I was a teenager and I couldn't work out why an OCX wasn't enough to run things. I'm an odd-duck, I like to explore how things work
