btrem One thing that *would* be useful is to suggest to e.g. search engines that a second copy is explicitly *not* canonical by marking it as a syndication copy from the canonical copy. Perhaps useful where you publish a syndicated copy on a service where you don't control the markup and therefore can't add a canonical link.
