[chrisaldrich] I suspect things work properly for the notification side on people's stand alone sites. The bigger presentational issue is how they appear in the micro.blog timeline (or conversation pages). Things may be trickier if folks are sending threaded replies between their site and micro.blog, in which case you may need/want to watch out on that first part.
