Good to know. Although my UX for showing responses also was better off with just the plaintext content anyway.

Yeah it is easier for sure, cause it does allow images and some formatting tags in that you'd need to have some css for

images are a potential abuse vector and I haven't a good automatic mitigation for that (short of display:none)

i mean so is text

very different abuse vector per cp etc.

I'm wondering if it makes sense to serialize a multiphoto post as individual photos when POSSEing to Flickr

interesting, Flickr doesn't have a way to set alt text separate from title or description: https://www.flickr.com/help/forum/en-us/72157629120781617/

they append the "title" field of a photo and " | by USERNAME" and put that into the alt attribute of the image
#
[tantek]4
this makes me think that Bridgy Publish to Flickr should put the "alt" on a u-photo into the "title" of the photo on Flickr, and the text content from a photo post into the "description" of the photo
#
[tantek]4
so if we expand that to serializing a multiphoto, assuming each photo img has an alt, it could make sense to post each of those photos to Flickr on its own with the respective alt as the "title" of the photo on Flickr. then maybe only the first photo in the multiphoto gets the full text "description" in the Flickr post
#
[tantek]4
I suppose I should put this into /multiphoto#Brainstorming about POSSE

aaronpk [tantek] Is there a way I can modify the indieweb.org homepage? There are a few simple accessibility changes I'd like to make.

flickr-- I've always been annoyed at how bad their `alt` text is, that explains a lot about why. Yet another reason I'm slowly moving away from there

capjamesg: the css is in the page. Other than that it's a media wiki template that applies to all pages
