[snarfed] my only other guess is that maybe the # needs to be inside the HTML link text after all. I originally thought that in https://github.com/snarfed/bridgy-fed/issues/45#issuecomment-1468856026, but then said otherwise in the docs. I think I tested successfully without # in link text, but not sure
