[Murray]yeah, but the alternatives are simply not as user friendly. I can't imagine going back to hosting a front end on something like a VPS; too much headache. Damned if you do, damned if you don't 😞 (tbc, I'm not saying AWS is "simple" or "user friendly"; more Netlify et al)
