[tantek]I *think* I finally understand [jeremycherfas]'s 'splain joke. to2ds you wrote "chisel cuneiform into a stone", while cuneiform is traditionally written into clay tablets (not stone) using a sharpened stick to make impressions in the clay, not chiseled.
