I’d love to hear how others with static sites organize their local files. Do you just reverse sort filenames in your OS? I just wrestled with Obsidian for a few days so I could finally see all of my stuff outside of a code IDE.

not quite sure what you mean
#
earthbasetwo
in general, i keep all my files on my local computer in a pretty well-organized system on disk
#
earthbasetwo
individual projects have git repos in their root folder. i also organize config files as projects like this - e.g. my nginx config system and my docker compose setup and both "projects" with their own folder in my `~/Projects` directory with a git repo

[Al_Abut] I organize posts by using dates in the file name. At this point the file names are ignored. You can view my source from the footer link.

[Al_Abut] i'm trying to come up with a workflow that works for me, but since i mostly use Hugo and i like to colocate assets (for now, at least), i just have subfolders in my content/ directory, basically one for each page. i am considering flattening the folder structure and making judicious use of the `url` frontmatter parameter instead of relying on auto-naming

Is there a known issue with indielogin finding rel="me" links? Mine used to work, but I've been consistently getting "No rel="me" links were found on your site" on https://rossabaker.com/. I still pass the tests on indiewebify.me . It's possible the anti-bot measure I was logging into the wiki to document is kicking in, but if it is, I need to improve my own logging!

Thanks for piping up everybody about local files. [aciccarello] - that’s cool that you’ve got a nice simple link straight to your github, it helped to see working examples.

rossabaker, yeah it might be the bot blocking, it looks the pin13 mf2 parser doesn't find any: https://pin13.net/mf2/?url=https%3A%2F%2Frossabaker.com%2F
#
gRegor
The php.microformats.io link doesn't either, though that might be the same server as pin13: https://php.microformats.io/?url=https%3A%2F%2Frossabaker.com%2F
#
gRegor
aaronpk, ^^ do you see any logs for indielogin.com that might might help? For https://rossabaker.com/

I added my OpenStories json feed to the discussion thread at https://github.com/dddddddddzzzz/OpenStories/discussions/9 where the originator solicits implementations.

what is checkmention
#
Loqi
Checkmention is a project by KB Sriram that allows people to test their Webmention implementation, and whether it robustly detects certain types of XSS attacks and authorship spoofing attacks https://indieweb.org/Checkmention

do you have any links to when it was proposed? I'd be interested in documenting that on the timeline

Hey folks, struggling with indieauth.com's pgp flow. I've added a pgp key as documented here: https://indieauth.com/pgp but the login is telling me that there are no "rel=me" links on my page. The code still references pgp, but my PHP might not be good enough to tell if it's still in use?
#
gRegor
Hi nermut, what's your domain?
#
gRegor
It looks like you have `div class="h-card" rel="me"`, The rel=me should be on the link itself
#
nermut
was trying to start writing under a name not connected to my real name, anyway, still good to figure this out
#
nermut
I initially thought that too but the instructions here say that the rel should be pgpkey: https://indieauth.com/pgp
#
gRegor
I'm less familiar with indieauth.com's current PGP support. I know indieauth.com is deprecated and I think indielogin.com has had issues with it recently, maybe removed it
#
nermut
<link rel="pgpkey" href="/key.pub">
#
gRegor
Ah, right
#
nermut
Ooh hmm, I'll have a look at that
#
gRegor
That part looks correct.
#
gRegor
I see indieauth.com finding your PGP key, shows a green button
#
gRegor
Maybe there was a cache for a bit?
#
nermut
Oh yeah that might have been it
#
gRegor
Also we can delete those messages with your real name if you'd like
#
nermut
I don't see anything in the docs for pgp support on indiauth.com, I'll try \it, one sec
#
nermut
that would be nice if that's ok!
#
nermut
*indielogin.com, is what I meant in my last message
#
nermut
I'll just use email on indielogin.com instead then :)

[tantek] yeah the intro on that page says it was introduced in 2003

jacky: vikanezrimaya left you a message on 2024-12-30 at 9:29pm UTC: hey, what's the status of microformats-rs? i see new releases on crates.io, but no corresponding activity in the gitlab repo; also 0.13 and 0.14 seem to be broken for me for some reason
