snowlesstaco What would be "eco mode" for a website? I imagine css animations don't take up that much space. π€
#
Loqi It looks like we don't have a page for "eco mode" yet. Would you like to create it? (Or just say "eco mode is ____", a sentence describing the term)
#
[tantek] maybe worth noting in the -review pages e.g. https://indieweb.org/2025-review and prior years
#
aaronpk if i take out brid.gy, ap.brid.gy, bsky.brid.gy then: https://media.aaronpk.com/2025/12/16072653-4411.png

[aciccarello] That's where most of my webmentions are probably from
#
[aciccarello] Always interesting to see which bots are on the hashtags π
#
[aciccarello] It'd be fun to play around with a webmention stat page on my site

Loqi The IndieWeb Hackathon is a recurring event encouraging contributions to software projects in the IndieWeb community https://indieweb.org/IndieWeb_Hackathon
#
[aciccarello] Sounds good gRegor. Let me know what you think when you read my post. I think it'd be great if we could use a hackathon to rally people to get the slim migration done.
#
[aciccarello] As long as there is someone who can review PRs, give feedback, merge, and deploy, the hope is that other people can get involved.

[aciccarello] When I write down some project recommendations, I was thinking of recommending adding a github codeowners file so PRs automatically get assigned to the maintainers and people in chat know who to reach out to.
#
[artlung]2 and I think CONTRIBUTING.md files would be great. Would love to see some examples of ones folks read and thought "that does a good job"

ramenos Just a simple HTML/CSS way to create and manage albums. Wanted to share just in case.

ramenos Hi all. I have been browsing a photo management solution to host on my server for quite some time. I wanted something simple, minimalist in terms of data management and so far, I am quite happy with Minigal Nano : https://github.com/sebsauvage/MinigalNano

Loqi A gallery is a deliberately curated set of photos, that may itself be a post, or an archive view, or potentially dynamically created via tags https://indieweb.org/gallery

gRegor gallery << https://github.com/sebsauvage/MinigalNano a very simple image gallery that only requires PHP and GD image library, no databases. Images uploaded in a folder become a gallery of photos.
#
Loqi ok, I added "https://github.com/sebsauvage/MinigalNano a very simple image gallery that only requires PHP and GD image library, no databases. Images uploaded in a folder become a gallery of photos." to the "See Also" section of /gallery https://indieweb.org/wiki/index.php?diff=106787&oldid=106389

[artlung]2 change in price structure for how GitHub actions run. https://resources.github.com/actions/2026-pricing-changes-for-github-actions/ ~ I think this will have no effect on my limited usages of these but curious to know how this might affect others.

gRegor There are some extensions, https://indieweb.org/Micropub-extensions, like the one to set the URL slug is common
#
[aciccarello] I have my micropub media endpoint do some image compression.
#
aaronpk basically a command like this https://indieweb.org/Micropub-extensions#Destination so `mp-content-type` so the client can indicate what content type it is sending
