thematling I am considering to add a plug-in comment system to my website supporting ActivityPub and/or Webmention
#
thematling and lingering in a rather silly question: Where in the page space to put comments
#
Loqi Comments are displayed in the context of an original post, and may be a mix of syndicated reply posts from other sites received via Webmention, as well as locally created comments https://indieweb.org/comments-display

osteophage Anyone on here able to help me figure out how to send a certain webmention? Normally when I check a page's source code I can find a webmention.io link or a wordpress link that can be loaded as a normal webpage with a form, but this one doesn't seem to operate that way.
#
osteophage I'm looking at this page: https://www.citationneeded.news/we-can-have-a-different-web/
#
osteophage which has this endpoint: https://www.citationneeded.news/webmentions/receive/
#
[snarfed] osteophage check for a Link rel=webmention header? https://webmention.net/draft/#sender-discovers-receiver-webmention-endpoint
#
osteophage As I said, what I found in the header is this: https://www.citationneeded.news/webmentions/receive/
#
osteophage Since this doesn't do anything as a webpage, is there another way to send something?
#
osteophage I'd like to try that, but unfortunately I will need some more explanation. How do I do that?
#
Loqi Webmention is an open web standard (W3C Recommendation) for conversations and interactions across the web, a powerful building block used for a growing distributed network of peer-to-peer comments, likes, reposts, and other responses across the web https://indieweb.org/webmention
#
osteophage Earlier I did try webmention.app, but unfortunately that didn't detect this one. Thanks for the tips, though. For reference, I'm using Waterfox, so I'll try looking up information on how to pull up the Network tab on Firefox.
#
ulhar4409 ah, this could work? https://telegraph.p3k.io/send-a-webmention
#
osteophage It worked! Thank you!
#
[aciccarello] http://Webmention.app is pretty picky about what it sends mentions for.
