ulhar4409 if you set it to summary_large_image you get a nice preview for exactly one image. discord doesn't show any more images after that

ulhar4409 but if you remove the twitter:card property altogether it shows all of the og:images

ulhar4409 ok, so maybe don't include it unless you specifically want to set it to `summary`?

ulhar4409 but then if you want to use og:video instead you have to include twitter:card again 🫠

ulhar4409 probably i'll just give my template an `attachments` argument that links to all the images or videos that should appear in previews, then choose how to approach twitter:card based on how many there are (0? use summary; 1? use summary_large_image; else don't bother)

gRegor It's been a couple years, but when I last used it at work, I did the basic OGP and added the twitter:summary_large_image and it worked across FB and Twitter. This was for work, so Discord wasn't a consideration.

ulhar4409 not exactly; to test a link i just post it in a private channel and (for repeat attempts) put a random query string for cachebusting purposes

gRegor I'd still be inclined to treat that^ as "good enough" heh. If the FB and Twitter preview looked good, I trusted it should in genreal

gRegor Yeah I know of some generic ones, was more curious if Discord has their own, since each can be slightly different. That's why I like using Facebook's debugger so I know they look good on FB.

btrem I really hate Drupal today. I know I say that a lot, but today's is a special hate. Way too complex to explain in IRC. In fact, I'm having a hard time explaining it on Drupal Stack Exchange. But suffice to say that it has a distinct touch of Microsoft "we know what you want, we'll do it for you" that is unintuitive and frankly maddening.
