lars_the_bear The <h-card> will usually contain your email address. When you "sign in" to the IndieWeb ring manager at https://xn--sr8hvo.ws/, it will send a code to the email address in your <h-card>
#
lars_the_bear @dave -- this (IIUC) is how the IndieWeb ring manager knows your site has adopted IndieWeb principles, and isn't just some random site

#
lars_the_bear Sorry : I use "minus minus" as a separator. I didn't realize it has a special meaning here.
#
lars_the_bear @dave: If you're using Blogger, I'm not sure whether Blogger gives you enough control over the page layout, to enter the <h-card> tag. Sorry; I guess that's a question for the Blogger folks.
#
[jeremycherfas] It can e done, or at least, could be, once upon a time. See https://indieweb.org/Blogger

lars_the_bear The link to "Tutorial: Add an h-card" seems to be broken :/ Sorry : I haven't used Blogger for years, and I've no idea whether it would still work.
#
lars_the_bear I guess Blogger mostly appeals to people who don't want to get down and dirty with HTML.
#
lars_the_bear It seems that the person who posted the original question is no longer here, anyway.
#
[jeremycherfas] They might be back. Ah yes, jgmac gone missing, whereabouts unknown.
#
[jeremycherfas] Iām looking in http://archive.org just in case, but I am not hopeful.
#
[jeremycherfas] Pleasantly surprised, and wiki edited.
#
lars_the_bear 2019, I think, so it might still work. I didn't realize you could hack in HTML directly in blogger.

#
Loqi h-card is the microformats2 vocabulary for marking up people, organizations, and venues on web sites, and supersedes hCard https://indieweb.org/h-card

#
[jeremycherfas] The tutorial I linked to earlier is probably a better bet for Blogger specifically.

gRegor No idea, but governed by private entities apparently and over 500 of them, so sounds like it could easily vary: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multiple_listing_service#North_America
#
gRegor dave, [jeremycherfas], I updated https://indieweb.org/Tutorial_Set_up_an_Indie_Website_using_Blogger with a note about the webmention tutorial not working. That's not needed for the webring signup though. Let us know if the h-card tutorial works, though. Fingers crossed!

btrem gRegor: haha, yes niche question. I'm working on my community site today, trying to move processed from paper to our website. One such thing is paperwork generated when somone sells her/his/their apartment. So I'm creating an "apts for sale" content type, and thought it would helpful to let them add an MLS number so prospective buyers could see the listing.
