to2ds Any webmentions up to this point were received server-side. Now there's no means to do this with the current platform.

[snarfed] to2ds I assume you've seen the ways to do webmentions entirely client side? https://indieweb.org/static_site#Receiving_Webmentions etc

to2ds [snarfed] - Yes, indeed. That link actually provides more avenues than I was aware of :)

[jeremycherfas] I used to have a form on all my pages that would send me a message by email but it got taken over by Russian bots that entered the email of their potential victim instead of their own email, so it sent a copy to me and to the victim. Cunning, I admit, but made the whole thing unsustainable. So for now the form is gone. But my email is still there.

to2ds [jeremycherfas] - The bots had been rather aggressive starting October 2025 and have forced me to explore alternative hosting scenarios.

[capjamesg] I love this design philosophy: https://tomotama.com/philosophy

[jeremycherfas] Hmmn. Not mad keen on the full-width line length at all widths.
#
[jeremycherfas] It made me frown, not smile.
#
[capjamesg] Yeah the contrast isn’t great but the message is well articulated.
#
[jeremycherfas] Cook — or maybe serve -- what’s on the menu, I would say.
#
[artlung] I did, in fact, write that perl program. https://gist.github.com/artlung/bb8f1471292002071907557e9d038819
