[snarfed] Something about the way Bridgy syndicates posts has been preventing #indieweb-stream from picking up my #indieweb tagged posts. When I tag them that way and submit by hand, they come through fine... through Bridgy Fed, never. Any ideas? TIA.

[Kupietz] yeah I've seen your debugging here. Sorry it's been such a problem! I don't know what's going on, but it's not systemic to Bridgy Publish, other #indieweb posts from Bridgy are showing up in #indieweb-stream, eg https://indiewebcamp.slack.com/archives/C04BJTH4TEH/p1777228022267909

[Kupietz] what shows up when you test your post permalink in IndieWebify h-entry validator and the pin13 mf2 parser? Do your hashtags show up properly as "p-category" (or just "category") properties?

These are from Mastodon RSS feeds, no mf2 involved. https://indieweb.org/mastodon-tag-feed/index.php is the aggregate feed from a few RSS on mastodon.social and indieweb.social. aaronpk said the other day that there might be additional filters in the Aperture channel that is pulling in posts from that feed, e.g. only "indieweb" or "webmention" in the feed's `content_html`
#
gRegor
From what I can see, posting natively into Mastodon adds those tag links directly in the content_html, so that might be why most of them show up
#
gRegor
I don't think we've sorted out a community-access way to manage that Aperture channel unfortunately
#
gRegor
I think it's the "keywords from blog search" section here: https://indieweb.org/stream.indieweb.org
#
gRegor
Which makes sense for blogs, though maybe shouldn't be applied to the Mastodon feeds

gRegor
correction: mf2 is involved in the federation, but that's working correctly, his posts are showing up in the Mastodon tag feeds.

[tantek] the "Indieweb" tag shows up as a "category" in the indiewebify and pin13 mf2 parsers. In the page code it's `<a hidden="from-humans" href="https://michaelkupietz.com/genre/indieweb/" class="p-category">Indieweb</a>`.

[Kupietz], to test what I was saying earlier today, try to federate a post like https://michaelkupietz.com/and-another-test/, same category, and put "indieweb" in the text of the post
