what is Ruffle
#
Loqi
It looks like we don't have a page for "Ruffle" yet. Would you like to create it? (Or just say "Ruffle is ____", a sentence describing the term)
#
aaronpk
Ruffle is a Flash emulator which makes it possible to restore old Flash content you have previously posted to your website https://ruffle.rs/

High refresh 6" eink display. This seems worth investigating for various indieweb / indie home use cases: https://www.oginstagram.com/reel/DdxFZqwS_zr/

I did exactly the same last week! Wanted to have a static archive of my old designs that I can run on GitHub pages ☺️

I rewrote my web project's helper daemon as a simple STDIN/STDOUT script (a la CGI). it's wonderful.

question about webmentions, because of how my site works, if i send the webmention via a curl BEFORE the generated site is ready, will the receiver reject the webmention? or should I have to introduce a delay into the site generation?
#
WinnerWind
into the webmention sending*

You should probably send after the site is ready imo
#
Loqi
I agree
#
[snarfed]
yup. webmention is a "thin ping." receivers immediately fetch the source page

WinnerWind, how is your site hosted? I have a netlify plugin for my build to send mentions after the static site build finishes
#
WinnerWind
[aciccarello]: the site is hosted via a caddy server just hosting the generated site
#
WinnerWind
tdrayson: got it ^_^ going to think of solutions now
#

doesnm_: mine is basically the same setup

all the files go into a directory, a server in front hosts it
#

but i don't have indieweb features actually
#
WinnerWind
me neither, actually, it's just a bunch of HTML files made 'smart' with a bunch of scripts that aid the generation process

[edit] Is it ok if I ask for HTML/CSS (or just webmaking) advice from here?

Is there any simple blog system (or CMS) that I can use that respects my site's structure?
#
[capjamesg]
It depends what you’re site’s structure is.
#
[capjamesg]
Popular blogging systems in the IndieWeb include WordPress, Ghost, http://micro.blog, and Bear Blog. You might want to look at those as a starting point.
