[mapkyca] Reader and distributed friend / follow are related but not directly connected things. Reader was something that Known Inc was building but never finished. Friend / follow was something I was playing with (together with different ways of distributed pgp based login). All worked (to certain values of worked), but with limited time it never really got anywhere.

jbove my upgrading workflow has been to pull the latest from master into a folder and then do a "Beyond Compare" folder diff check and copy over all the diffs. ... super professional and all

[jgmac1106] I erased my son's blog. I still have the database and can scrape every post from internet archive....if anyone can give me pointers on trying to rebuild that be forever in your debt

aaronpk If you have the database you should be able to download Known and point it at the existing database

aaronpk of course make sure you have a backup of the database stored as a file you can restore from easily

[jgmac1106] okay cool, that part I can do, just have always started with blank DB...gonna be this weekend project....I now have local copies of my server every 24 hours ....and about to snail mail one to my mom once a month
