[mapkyca] You can just use an image tag and link to a file for sure, _but_ to get that video to play across browsers, across bandwidths etc etc, you need to do some transcoding. This is especially true if you’re allowing folks to upload video in different formats - so e.g. if you upload a massive.avi, you’d need to transcode that into various container/video codec/audio codec combinations to play on safari, ios, etc etc etc
