sl007: Zegnat left you a message 3 days, 22 hours ago: sponsors have to abide by the code of conduct (https://indieweb.org/code-of-conduct) and it doesn’t rule out politics. It only specified to be respectful about it.

sl007: Zegnat left you a message 3 days, 22 hours ago: I do believe that if they want to push political issues that would be wrong (less respect), if the eu tech body want to preach privacy and progression, let them.

sl007
I'd like to write to the EU person now to sponsor a hackathon prior to FOSDEM as mentioned ...
#
tantek
that would be awesome!
#
sknebel
sl007: I'd like to go to FOSDEM, yes, but can't really plan things like that right now
#
tantek
ooooookay. we have both /remote_participation and /remote-participation and they have different content
#
tantek
lol aaronpk has contributed to both. Thus I'm going to let him merge :)
#
tantek
also I know aaronpk brought this up before (forgot which channel) but I feel it merits repeating

[Zeljka Zorz] Billions of Bluetooth-enabled devices vulnerable to new airborne attacks
#
tantek
AFAIK no platform has patched their OS for this
#
sknebel
from that article, iOS and Windows have patches rolled out/are not vulnerable if up-to-date, Android has them available (but has the usual issue of slow/nonexistent rollout to customers through the vendors)
#

aaronpk, Zegnat feel free to review: https://indieweb.org/remote_participation
#
tantek
!tell Zegnat perhaps the pro/con stuff from /chat could be moved to /remote_participation - since it seems more on specifically relevant to that? will leave it up to your editorial discretion
#
Loqi
Ok, I'll tell them that when I see them next
#
Loqi
ok, I added "[[remote participation]]" to the "See Also" section of /chat
#
aaronpk
good morning
#
aaronpk
looks like those two pages were merged already
#
tantek
yes it seemed pretty straightforward since I was already there and had cognitively loaded their current state
