ZegnatRe: considering colour blindness for designs like IWC pronoun pins, here is aaronpk’s rainbow through some colour blindness filters: https://imgur.com/a/2nHHvnW
Zegnataccessibility << There is software to simulate colour blindness that will help in picking palettes where colour differences are a required design element (e.g. in graphs). For macOS the free and open-source [https://michelf.ca/projects/mac/sim-daltonism/ Sim Daltonism] is very easy to use.
[jgmac1106]I have a blind student in my class this year, accessible code editors...not sure they existed...tried using JAWS @marcozehe love to hear how you code
jgmac1106I am going to finalize the NYC schedule Monday, if there are West Coasters, Eurpoean, or Asian #IndieWeb folks joining us for either /leaders or remotely please sign the guestbook so we can coordinate time zones as best as possible
jgmac1106for keynotes, we will have Maha Bali, doing remote, Jess Klein UX from wikimedia foundation, will do other, and will do one more from an IndieWeb dev on site…they qre 15 minutes each
jgmac1106cool, I will make a rough pass at the /2018/NYC page adding your info but fel free to revise….once article is up I will do a blog post about exciting news
jgmac1106[schmarty or [gwg] If I send you list of tix holders can either of you take the lead on sending email reminders? We drafted a few and it look s like some already exist in the toolkit
aaronpkbtw we came to the conclusion that it's okay to use a color scheme for the pins that's not 100% colorblind accessible since the information that the color provides is also duplicated by the words (shape and size as well as actual text)
ZegnatI like the white on solid colour. I do wonder about the font and what side the printing is going to be. If the pins are small, a more straight font might turn out more legible. E.g. not the little extra nook at the join of the k diagonals.
[jgmac1106]@sknebel the time isn't set in stone so if there is an hour that lines up with your schedule before or after work, etc we can try and make it fit
[jgmac1106]okay I will add venue info now, in terms of suggestions for breakfast, lunch, I know Manhattan not all open to suggestions will look for activity ideas
Loqi[jgmac1106]: tantek__ left you a message 14 minutes ago: we need venue information for IWC NYC Leaders and suggestions for breakfast, lunch, group activity suggestions https://indieweb.org/2018/NYC/Leaders#Where
gRegorLove!tell jgmac1106 I updated /2018/NYC/Leaders#When with a simpler schedule list. Removed the dt- mf2 for the individual items since they're all inside one h-event. Wasn't sure what time the walk across the bridge is - same time as lunch?
