[aaronpk] did I read the logs right for 2019.indieweb.org/$city I would just make a NewHaven page I just fork the summit setup?
#
aaronpk
Yeah clone the repo and make the few files for your city. There's one in there you can copy from already

jacky, what do you find motivating about nodeinfo? instead of trying to join someone else's nodeinfo, perhaps we should ask what's the equivalent of nodeinfo for the indieweb and indieweb building blocks?
#
jacky
when implemented, it can be shown in aggregate stat platforms like this one: https://fediverse.network/
#
Loqi
ok, I added "https://fediverse.network/" to the "See Also" section of /nodeinfo https://indieweb.org/wiki/index.php?diff=54399&oldid=54392
#
jacky
for example, aaronpk (seemingly?) implements a bit of it and has his site info showing here: https://fediverse.network/p3k

jacky, second question still stands.
#
jacky
sorry, stepped away to get some tea
#
[tantek]
it's far more accessible for folks in the indieweb to improve their own sites for their actual use-cases, and use BridgyFed for that, than to bother with doing it themselves just to show up in a stats page
#
jacky
hm so an equivalent of this could follow the same route we take for discovery for other endpoints (webmention, micro{sub, pub}, etc)
#
[tantek]
doing work to show up in stats pages feels like a distraction from actually scratching your own itches
#
jacky
hmm okay

I understand
#
[tantek]
I mean, it's your site, do what you want 🙂
#
jacky
lol right but I see your point
#
[tantek]
Just be aware of the values implicit in what you decide to prioritize
#
jacky
thanks for realigning me there
#
jacky
right
#
jacky
my time would be better spent processing webmentions right now
#
[tantek]
also - feel free to add your brainstorm "an [IndieWeb] equivalent of this could follow the same route we take for discovery for other endpoints (webmention, micro{sub, pub}, etc)" to a Brainstorming section in the /nodeinfo page so we can encourage a better nodeinfo!
