Loqi[eddie]: jgmac1106 left you a message 9 hours, 8 minutes ago: please check out the proposed online schedule. Haven’t heaerd more bout the dates so I say we just go with what you prposed and make a page
[tantek]!tell eddie perhaps consider s/TBA/coming soon and s/TBD// and maybe add a prominent "Save the dates! IndieWebCamp is coming to Austin" instead either at the top or bottom? https://2019.indieweb.org/austin that would be a better placeholder until Manton adds details
[jgmac1106][tantek] I thought an open source journal about blogging research would be an interest to the community, ....it is a journal where scholars publishing their research would do so from their own blogs using webmentions....I care, [chrisaldrich] been interested in samizdat for long time, I will put him the care column. might be one or two more
[jgmac1106]plus anybody could grab the h-card template for their site from there. I tried to keep it clean, maybe I should have used another stylesheet to make it more portable
[tantek]re: "open source journal about blogging research would be an interest to the community" - that's a good question. maybe? I don't think we did "launch a new blog" type posts in last year's challenge because it wasn't really a "re-usable" thing *for* the community.
[tantek]re: "anybody could grab the h-card template for their site from there" that certainly wasn't obvious at all - using View Source? some other UX? nor was there any wording or even suggestion for folks "hey here's an h-card template you can use!"
[tantek]this is what I mean about it being very unclear what the linked page was supposed to be - what did it do? for whom? why? how was it useful to anyone as a building block? how? with what steps?
tantek.comedited /2018-12-indieweb-challenge (+778) "add In progress section, restore jgmac1106 entry there, ask questions to try to help clarify purpose / community intended use" (view diff)
[tantek][jgmac1106] my goal is to help encourage the indieweb challenge entries to be easily consumable by folks, just like we want better intro and getting setup documentation for various things, WP etc.

[jgmac1106]yeah if we don't get any Aussie interest as organizer we can go with one timeslot for live. so far nobody seems interested...make life easier
[jgmac1106]maybe a little earlier...would get late in E....but not too much as then it gets too early for Pacific US...we only need a1-2 hours for magical UTC time...sessions and hack times up to attendees
