IWC Utrecht is still ‘save the date’ on the wiki, how sure is the event now?
#
sknebel
it's confirmed
#
[sebsel]
nice, should we update the wiki then?
#

hm, maybe just leave that to the organizers

Berlin is also ‘Save the dates’ there.
#
[sebsel]
And on it’s main page is ‘save the dates’: https://indieweb.org/2019/Utrecht and no participant list
#
[sebsel]
but I notice a pattern there… is there no participants list anymore?

Utrecht is confirmed and will happen. We will update the wiki asap.

Participant list is coming soon as well
#

We want to invite a few people up front to make sure they can/will participate. We have a hard stop at 35 participants.
#

How many do you have so far?
#
[frank]
Currently only mobile and at a party so I will look into the wiki later today.
#
[frank]
GWG we will invite people coming days. List is approx 20, incl people like Rose and Sknebel. I think 10-15 will come.

for the record: indieweb.nl is in my collection of domains. It redirects to indieweb.org as it probably should. Once we translate parts of the wiki I can redirect to a more specific page (but most Dutch people can read English so no hurry)

Well this seems like a big deal for increasing adoption / indieweb and HAXcms. Added support to automatically take the files that it "published" and it saves them to a /published/sitename directory. This directory could be zipped up and dropped on any server and "just work" TM.

!tell sebsel, [frank] we don’t do wiki “participants list” or “guest list” any more (it was too limiting and didn’t actually accurately show participants or guests). We switched those pages to *optional* Project Goals pages for folks to say what they planned to do / get working at an IWC. See /2019/Austin for an example
#
[tantek]
and re: “save the date” we’ve been using that for IWCs where at least the date is confirmed (preferably also the venue), but there’s no ticketing option yet, so there’s no way to sign-up/RSVP
#
[tantek]
Once there’s a ticketing link and indie event to RSVP to, then we can switch the CTA from “save the date” to “sign up”
#
[tantek]
That’s probably worth capturing on /IndieWebCamp_Organizing
#
[jgmac1106]
Thx Tantek haven't had the wiki gardening time yet but will update... My demo is always other people demoing their new sites
#
[jgmac1106]
May try to build website for HWC before demo...going to have people showing up now
#
[tantek]
[jgmac1106] no worries re: wiki gardening.
#
[tantek]
1. Focus on the event IRL, and
#
[tantek]
2. Delegate. Ask remote participants for help with wiki gardening, delegate (ask <!here> in this channel!) when you think of wiki tasks that you think of / see
