[tantek]Found this and am going to try to watch a bunch of the sessions https://reseteverything.events — some indieweb friendly / participant folks in there like Brian Behlendorf, Jeff Jarvis etc.
[tantek]meta complaint / call for help. We need to be better at distinguishing what is real & useful in practice *today* vs. what people "could" do. The latter needs to always get pushed into "Brainstorming" sections, and left there to iterate until it's actually *real* with real world examples you can link to.
[tantek]or rather, the tinkering developer who wants to see what others's thoughts are before they reinvent something is the minority, and they'll read through the whole page, so no need to try to optimize for them
[tantek]I'm starting to think that if an IWC session is developer-centric (i.e. uses jargon in the name of the session), OR if any session (IWC, or HWC) is predominantly (75%+?) attended by developers that by default speak like developers, then they should use the #indieweb-dev channel for chat instead of the main #indieweb channe.
ZegnatIn this case wondering because asking web chat users to switch to #indieweb-dev is not something they can do without know they need to press #dev in the sidebar
