[KevinMarks], aaronpk, [jgmac1106] go ahead and add your tagline suggestion(s) here! https://indieweb.org/tagline#Brainstorming (note there's a bunch there already)
#
[tantek]
I'm going to go out on a limb and say if/when we're considering changing the indieweb tagline, let's please reach beyond the white male developer demographic for "user testing" it

[chrisaldrich] I was thinking about your homepage redesign, I don't think you need a developer column.

mblaney: jgmac1106 left you a message 4 days, 10 hours ago: does ihazawebsite have any social media accounts? How best to refer people? Feel like it is one of the unsung close to turnkey tools, plus the reader is already built it
#
mblaney
a developer looking at that list, and wanting to jump in the deep end, is going to think about implementing all the things anyway... so I think that's implied.

mblaney, I wasn't aware that I had a developer column?!
#
mblaney
oh am I remembering it wrong? I couldn't find it earlier when I went to have another look.
#
[chrisaldrich]
Oh, that grid thing for the indieweb homepage...
#
[chrisaldrich]
That column wasn't there for developers so much as for beginners and others to know that it exists as an option, even if it's one that they may need to hire someone to build.
#
mblaney
sure, I just saw a few comments about trying to simplify it and thought that would be a good start.
#
[chrisaldrich]
or maybe a subtle hint to the next column over that with some additional tinkering they could have more freedom/flexibility.
#
[chrisaldrich]
the other thing that does for developers is provide a list on the far right hand side of all the things they might consider adding... so maybe the developer column could be one big block with just an entry, perhaps?
#
mblaney
yeah I was saying that a developer would read the row labels and see them as things they would want to implement (or work on integrating)
#

jgmac1106 it has a twitter account, @ihazawebsite

Been catching up on 2020/West and the tagline discussion reminded me of a quote I saved from [jacky]'s Opening a Restaurant talk: "We build for ourselves so we can interact with one another." Struck me as an ideal IndieWeb tagline, certainly seemed to resonate on a personal level. Jacky, would you be okay with me adding that to the list on #Brainstorming that [tantek] linked above?

feel free!

Here is today's camp agenda: not adding these to events should I? http://tech-4-teens.club/2020/07/08/tech4teens-day-two/

@jgmac1106
Yes: I am excited to be going to the second #IndieWeb youth camp in #NHV Today our #tech4teens club will be working on making memes as they learn some basic HTML.: https://quickthoughts.jgregorymcverry.com/2020/07/08/yes-i-am-excited-to-be-going-to-the-second

the code of conduct should be a link in the header of the website next to discuss and events
[tantek] joined the channel
#
[tantek]
that's a good suggestion
#
[tantek]
because it literally applies to both discuss and events in particular
#
[tantek]
and there are folks who will see the obvious presence of a code of conduct as making discuss and events seem much more welcoming

At tonight's #HomebrewWebsiteClub, I managed to implement listing all my site's posts, using Micropub Query for All Posts - which is consumable with Indigenous for Android (https://www.jvt.me/mf2/2020/07/chvxl/)
