[tantek]uh help with the HWC West automatic meeting thing - the Zoom says it's scheduled for 7/22 when you try to use the "live now" link to join. aaronpk, GWG

ZegnatAn mf2 popup does seem up my alley, GWG! I will add my interest in a bit. My calendar is a bit volatile so not sure I can be of much help planning a date
GWGZegnat: Like on the Micropub and IndieAuth sessions, are you willing to come up with some issues that are either ready for discussion or could be easily?
[manton]So I’m in the middle of registering application/feed+json for JSON Feed, and the question came up about who or what organization should be responsible for changes to the registration. [tantek] suggested that maybe JSON Feed should be listed on spec.indieweb.org, since it’s in the spirit of other IndieWeb formats. Anyone have any thoughts about that, pros/cons and how we could move forward?
aaronpkit's interesting because when we were doing these specs in the w3c working group there was a clear governing body for that work. but that group concluded a few years ago and we're now continuing to develop these independently
[manton]When I think of specs that are in the spirit of IndieWeb /principles, I think of things that relate to people owning their content, sites interoperating, etc.
[manton]@GWG Good question. From my perspective, RSS and Atom have been frozen forever, whereas JSON Feed is a newer format and could continue to improve, including thinking about whether some parts of JSON Feed and JF2 could be made more similar, so that it’s easier to work with them.
[manton][chrisaldrich] This is where I’d love some insight, because I wasn’t around for the W3C working group. Does the IndieWeb need to become any more formal about the process to be a “standards organization”, or is it more about just saying: yes, we’re doing this, and these standards will be taken care of here, outside the W3C or IETF.
