#[chrisaldrich]Given the DRY and sidefile violations, there's a case to be made that IndieWeb likely wouldn't have developed it early on. That said, it does help to provide an easy enough bridge between a variety of things, so I wouldn't be opposed to supporting it now.
#[chrisaldrich]There are also a number of people here with standards building experience and infrastructure to support such a thing in a thoughtful manner...

#[tantek]The closest we have to "process" are the /principles, and adjacent, we have processes for updating microformats2 and specific microformats specs. [manton] maybe take a look at those and see if those maintenance processes resonate with you and if you have any additional suggestions or ok to point out issues too!
#[tantek]a lot of it is about getting real world examples of publishing & consuming, and getting consensus among developers, and I think that's a pretty good basis for light-weight standards work
#GWG[tantek]: You've worked on a lot of standards groups. This seems to be an area you probably have a lot of insight into

#[tantek]GWG, yeah I have some experience in this kind of thing to help with. And that experience is exactly why I'm asking the questions that I am, and encouraging multiple participants to express their opinions on how it could/should work, very early in the process π
#[chrisaldrich]I dropped in a back up photo for HWC West for the newsletter, but I think Salt may have gotten a better one possibly? If you did, feel free to upload and replace it. π
#[chrisaldrich]I've created a HWC event for next Wednesday which I'll host. Anyone want to add some additional ones to give the newsletter additional runway for the rest of August? [tantek] [gRegorLove] GWG

#[manton]Following up on the discussion yesterday about JSON Feed and how it fits with the IndieWeb, Iβve written up a first draft of how I think some of the IndieWeb principles relate to it. Iβm biased but I tried to be fair and point out some areas where itβs not aligned. I used βthumbs upβ and βxβ emoji. Feedback welcome! https://gist.github.com/manton/7a8e4a7cd295dc2e2bc2dd4afa30583d
#[chrisaldrich][jeremycherfas] (replying to note from chat): I've had a blockage about documenting some of those online UI patterns relating to memory, collections, digital gardens, zettlekasten, second brains, etc. for lack of a place to hang them in the wiki.
#[chrisaldrich]Perhaps the best solution is to group them with the pre-existing /commonplace_book page since they're all generally related. I've added a paragraph to the top of that page with an explanation and will create some redirects.
#[chrisaldrich]We can always split them out later if they really need to be better differentiated.
#boffosocko.comedited /commonplace_book (+626) "paragraph about zettlekasten, digital gardens, second brains; see also links; removed duplicate from see also that was in presentations" (view diff)
#[chrisaldrich]!tell angelo I didn't think there was one already, but there is a /Jupyter page on the wiki if you want to add a more fleshed out version of your example use.
#boffosocko.comedited /mute (+30) "/* Past Examples */ Quiet Time: link to github repo; removed quiettime.xyz link as it no longer resolves." (view diff)
#LoqiJust generated this week's newsletter! You still have a few minutes to make changes, and I'll re-generate it 10 minutes before it gets sent out at 3pm Pacific time. https://indieweb.org/this-week/2020-07-31.html
