[tantek](and if no one else thinks that's worth retweeting, that's ok too! thought it was worth giving a nod to someone properly understanding and communicating a good example of why to POSSE instead of PESOS)
LoqiIndieWebCamp Organizing is a great way to bring together your local IndieWeb community, yet is also quite challenging, requires co-organizers, and key details to succeed that are documented in this page https://indieweb.org/organizing
[tantek]a bit surprised to not see organizer notes there about encouraging sponsoring primarily (or only) vegetarian food at IWCs (we certainly did this for the past two IWS)
[tantek]aaronpk, do you know where we may have captured the habit / convention / recommendation to consider only providing vegetarian food at IWCs (and if folks want meat they can purchase it themselves?)

[manton]Thanks for the IndieWebCamp thoughts, folks. I think requiring vaccines is important, although I might stop short of needing to show “proof”. Or at least, that should be handled via registration ahead of time, not when people show off. Don’t want any in-person confrontations.
[manton]Like, maybe people upload a photo of their vaccination card at registration? We don’t store it but it can be a quick check and would serve to discourage someone who was anti-vaccine from being interested in the event.
[manton]As an organizer, I’d want to have an environment where everyone felt comfortable, but also I personally don’t want to think that someone shows up and would be at greater risk to get sick. I’d be worried about them and not focused on the event.
[tantek]capjamesg[d] I think Loqi might not have been redeployed since aaronpk updated him to ignore the [d] (in addition to ignoring [m]). or that's another codepath that needs fixing
