[tantek] possible idea: take the phrase after "when is", treat it as a tag, look up e.g. "https://events.indieweb.org/tag/hwc", figure out the first *day* that an event listed there is happening, then collect all non-cancelled events from that day to that day+6, then output them in response clustered by day, then output that tag URL that was used to look them up, e.g.
