@kasperkamperman
↩️ I feel the same. Are you aware of open services like http://micro.blog and https://indieweb.org/? I think if people with significant followings move over or promote this, the web can become a better place again.

↩️ Is there a reason that you are not on the open internet? I think if accounts with a huge following like you switch or start/promote open services, we actually could make the internet open again. Interesting reads: https://indieweb.org/ https://book.micro.blog/

capjamesg, forgot the deletion step so it shows up as new

[tantek]4
for /validator that is
#
[tantek]4
though now having looked at /tools as you mentioned, I think you're right, perhaps it's time to redirect /validator to /tools and organize the content there a bit more (group the validators etc.)
#
capjamesg
[tantek] I will set up a redirect.

@H4kor
Nice side effect of implementing #webmention: blog posts automatically link back to all post referencing them. #indieweb https://blog.libove.org/posts/2017-04-24-ludum-dare-38-little-sky-farm/

capjamesg, re: adding to MDN. The MDN microformats page is a good place to start for what IndieWeb-related things could be worth adding to MDN. Note that the MDN microformats page links to the Webmention specification. That to me is enough reason to justify at least an MDN page on Webmention, that focuses on the browser / web author intersection of aspects. E.g. how you as a web author can add a form to your posts for people to
#
[tantek]4
submit a webmention URL and have it automatically perform the POST that the Webmention protcol uses, directly from the user's browser, without having to do a separate server round trip
#
[tantek]4
Similarly an MDN page on Webmention could document best practices for web authors to produce the page that is returned from their own server when someone does a Webmention, which I believe we also already have some docs on somewhere in our Webmention documentation on the wiki
#
[tantek]4
And then we can document how good existing browsers are at supporting both of those: (1) the form submission to do a webmention, (2) the display of webmention "results" in HTML

capjamesg, I also think a page on IndieAuth could be useful, especially for folks writing IndieAuth endpoints and making sure that they work well with privacy features of Firefox
