aaronpkI've been finding myself desperately needing the concept of sub-events in Meetable for the IETF meetings (I want to list the times of the actual OAuth sessions in addition to the overarching IETF meeting), does anyone have thoughts of how this would also benefit indieweb events?
aaronpklike I don't think it makes sense to make individual sub-events for each session at an indiewebcamp, since the wiki ends up being good enough for that since it also then includes session notes and such. so is there some other time we might use that here?
aaronpki think GWG's comment is probably the best first step of this, just adding a "parent event" concept and each event still gets listed in the main list and everything
gRegorI've done some parent/child events like that for some work projects, though only displayed the child events when you clicked into the main event.
gRegorI like the HWC Pacific text under RSVP "If none of that means anything to you, don't worry about it: just show up! The Zoom meeting link will appear shortly before the meeting time."
gRegorBack when Twitter was a thing, I did experiment with processing tweet replies as RSVPs on my indie events. But rsvps for HWCs were always "nice to have" imo, not required
Loqi[preview] [gRegor Morrill] Following up on EasieRSVP: I updated my event pages so Twitter replies that start with “rsvp yes” or “rsvp no” will show as RSVPs. I also standardized them with emoji and “Attending” or “Not attending”. You can see it in action on thi...
[tantek]capjamesg++ that's a good use-case, thank you. I think we should be able to accomodate that by having an RSVPs section in the Etherpad for a pop-up
