#[tantek]lol we are using a downloadable font for the hamburger menu icon 🤦
#aaronpki don't think we added a font for that... it must be part of the skin?
#Loqi[preview] [gRegor] Re: Vector (wiki theme), it looks like we might have `$wgVectorDefaultSkinVersion = '1';` set in LocalSettings. I see that value in some JSON when I view source. However I don't think we can just flip the switch on vector-2022 due to the homepage.
#[tantek]aaronpk, this is in the chat.indieweb styling
#[tantek]of course it is, where else would overdesigned css come from 🦆
#tantek.comedited /hamburger_icon (+311) "≡ yo let's add the actual Unicode so we can make it easier for people to avoid using a whole downloadable font for this nonsense, link clean up" (view diff)
#LoqiIt looks like we don't have a page for "material" yet. Would you like to create it? (Or just say "material is ____", a sentence describing the term)

#[tantek]yay chat.indieweb update! looks better on mobile now
#aaronpki had to do a few more css tweaks for the icons
#[tantek]and now I'm tempted to write a little bit of JS to do datetime math for enable the "Next" link/button as soon as the time has passed for there to be a "Next" page
#gRegorIt's 12px. 14px might be nice, looks ok in mobile preview on desktop
#[tantek]thanks aaronpk, that helps a lot. I think I can tweak further
#[tantek]gRegor, can you compare to other "chat" apps on your device and see if the size on chat.indieweb is comparable or larger/smaller than those other apps?
#[tantek]curious if we're not taking user preferences into account properly or not
#gRegorDiscord looks comparable. Don't think I've changed any font settings in that app though. Let me check Slack.
#gRegorThough I find the dark mode contrast in Discord makes it easier to read
#gRegorSlack looks a tad larger, guessing maybe 13px
#[tantek]gRegor, as font-size (and to some extent adjustability thereof) is an accessibility issue, can you file an issue in https://github.com/indieweb/chat.indieweb.org/issues with your request both exactly the smallest change you'd like to see, and perhaps what you'd ideally like to be able to do? I'll see what I can come up with
