I've set down the pipes, put some rough floor on top: https://indiewebforum.eu/
#
[contact898]
looking good!
#
[contact898]
any plans to put rss feeds in there at some point?
#
capjamesg
[Fran] I still have to respond to your email. I'll set aside some time to get through my inbox.
#
capjamesg
What software are you using?
#
capjamesg
My primary concern for a forum is the ability to moderate.
#
[Fran]
[contact898] RSS feeds enabled 👍
#
[contact898]
noice thanks
#
[Fran]
[capjamesg] I've used https://flarum.org/ - seems to have the standard reporting and mod tools, and there are a few plugins that add more complex ones (e.g., automated triggers)
#
[Fran]
For me it's important to start small, get a feel for the idea with a group of people which already agrees on norms. Moderation is part culture, and that's built over time.

hope this belongs here (it says site infra in the description)?

i want to set up a site for my mother's birthday party where people can upload photos. like a mini instagram of sorts. and i want to give a level of protection by adding a password so not every person/bot on the internet can a) see my mum's baby pics and b) upload stuff to my site. so that rules out github pages for hosting. i am trying to decide where is a good place to host it. i know netlifly can handle both the password and the dynamic

what i am getting myself into...

uploads. but if i understand this right, it would mean that the site gets rebuilt every time someone posts a picture. i expect the vast majority of use/uploads to be happening on the birthday party evening. and i about the 15 minute built time limit. am i worried for no reason? because if there are more than 100 uploads that night, i would be surprised. on the other hand, i would very much like to avoid any surprises if possible and know

Hi [Scout], sorry for the confusion but I think site infrastructure is referring to specifically infrastructure like the hosting of the wiki. #indieweb-dev should be a good place to ask!

[Scout]
thanks!

Do we have a category for these "day" prompts? Or maybe a wiki page with a calendar?
